Today I caught DSM Trucking's beautiful Pete 379 by surprise while walking out of school, well I heard it from a while away haha, sounded great too!..The street he was heading down on goes straight to the beachline, which is why at first I was wondering what he was doing over there because it is all residential, but a retired military area (Miller Field, which is now a park) is also on the same street, and I assume he was delivering salt since other supplies are stored there sometimes..I wish I could of had my camera to get some good shots of it since this was only with my phone, but I think it came out pretty decent!

Diamond Ready Mix not too long ago received a few new Mack Granite mixers, and to match their livery, they always add a quote or a saying on the truck. This truck, #520, has 'Don't Fear The Reaper' on it. I think this is a cool thing to add to the trucks, it adds a nice touch! This Mack R model owned by the Laquila Group always catches my eye while it has been on a highway job not too far away from where I live. Throughout the past 3 years, this and its twin(?) truck have always been parked around the jobsite, but I had never really been satisfied with the pictures I captured of them, since the job is on a highway and there is really no place to stop and get that perfect shot..I finally got a picture I really like of the truck. I was worried the barrel cone, which was in the corner of the left of the picture was going to be in the way but gladly it was not! I thought that I would not get back into this blog section of my website, but I thought it may be a good idea to try and start it back up. I think it brings a positive vibe to the site, other than me just uploading pictures to the categories and putting the updates on the homepage. You may have noticed that I have not been getting many pictures lately. I do apologize for this and I am trying my best to go out and get some good shots for you guys...Anyway here is one of many photos I captured today. I edited this shot a little different to give it that 'old' look, I think it came out decent! Hopefully you will enjoy these blog posts and I will try my best to update it every two days or as much as I can! |
