Dana Contracting's beautiful Pete 379, with the flowboy style trailer, and their T800, both hauling asphalt, showed up at my dad's work to do repairs..He was talking to the driver and was cool with him snapping a few shots and even showed my dad some pictures of him racing the truck at the Diesel Nationals! Look at that interior!

As with most of Diamond's trucks, there is a quote or saying on them. Here is a older Mack DM690 'Rusty Cage' sitting in their yard after a work day..Diamond has a couple of these DM690's, I believe 3 or 4, that they purchased from a large company and repainted in their color scheme. A common sight in the winter on the main road to the salt terminal on Staten Island is this, one or more trucks in convoy heading to pick up a load of salt. My brother caught FMB Trucking's awesome looking Pete 388 and KW W900L on their way. Even though his trucks were not as clean as they usually are, I can never get tired of seeing them. As you may have seen from my other blog posts, the company who is working on the highway/expressway near me, uses an assortment of older equipment, including this Cat 225, which looks to be in great condition considering it's age. The 225 was in production in the United States from 1972 until 1987, and was replaced by the 225B. |
