Whenever you are out on a snowy night, you are bound to see salt spreaders and or snow plows doing their job to clear the streets. The DSNY had many plows and salt spreaders out this night (1/4/14) to clear the streets. I was able to get a shot of their orange Mack MR salt spreader/plow, which was actually stuck on a manhole cover. Always cool to see the orange MR's since they are only taken out for the winter.

In late 2011 I seen that Mayrich was doing a job on 57th st and Park Ave in Manhattan, so we took a ride past and seen that both of their Hitachi 850's were there. I would have gotten pictures/video of the 850's loading the trucks in the foundation, but as you can see in the video, the site was boarded up to the point where it wasn't even worth trying to take shots from the street, more than any other site I've seen, and more than the WTC site!..Later in the summer of 2012, we noticed that they had dug out most of the foundation and that meant that they would have to either get a crane to remove the dirt or, well get a 2 piece boom Hitachi 800! haha. This was an impressive machine to watch work for sure, especially right on the street like it was. You can view pictures of this machine in the Hitachi gallery. I took a trip to Cranes INC.'s maspeth yard to snap some shots of the new Liebherr LTR1220 they recently just received, which is/was the first one to arrive in the United States, but was damaged at the port and the delivery was delayed, and within that time another company had taken delivery of one..I had to get a vertical shot of the LTR showing the other cranes in the background, so they were kind enough to move it wherever was best for us to get the shot. (Continued below picture) ..I can't get enough of how wide this crane is, pictures don't do it justice! I got some pictures of the other cranes in the yard, including their LTM1500, LTM1350 and a lot of others, which I will post later..On the ride there, we have to take the BQE in order to get to Cranes INC, and if you are from around here you know that there is a ton of truck traffic on there, and with it being winter with all the trucks hauling salt, I seen a ton of awesome trucks along the way. I'll get a gallery of all the pictures uploaded (159 pictures).
