...Did not go out today, so I figured I would dig up some pictures that are more interesting than just the usual shot of a dumptruck, excavator, etc.
...We've all seen them, or at least heard of them, the grave yard for trucks and machinery. Some hold just plain out garbage and things just worth scrap metal money, but some do hold very cool trucks and machines. This first photo is of an old lumber yard, from my understanding. Located in the Mariners Harbor section of Staten Island, NY. The main attractions are two Mack DM800's, one dump truck to the left of the frame and one garbage truck to the right. Also pictured in the middle looks to be a B model Mack dumptruck, possibly a B61? The fifth photo shows an older R model Mack box truck, now you sure don't see those still around. Last 2 pictures are from an active contractors yard in Rahway, NJ. Shown are 2 Mack DM800 dump trucks sitting along the road. There is also acouple of R model Mack dumptrucks but the way the yard is setup, you can barely see them from the road. -As always, you can click the images for a larger view
